Bloc Social Refund Policy
1. Overview of Event Creator Refund Policies Event creators on Bloc Social have the discretion to set their own refund or no-refund policy for their events. When a buyer purchases a ticket, the terms of the event creator’s refund policy will govern any refunds. Bloc Social does not guarantee refunds unless otherwise stated in this policy.
2. Requirement to Refund if Event Does Not Occur If the purchased ticketed event does not occur within three (3) months of the original event date, the event creator is required by Bloc Social’s policy to issue a full refund to ticket holders.
● Free Tier Note: For users on the free tier, Bloc Social’s ticketing fee deduction is non-refundable.
3. Visibility of Policies All refund policies, both Bloc Social’s and the event creator’s, must be clearly displayed and accessible to users. At checkout, purchasers will be prompted to confirm that they have read and agreed to the refund policy and the event creator’s terms.
4. Publication of Event Creator Policies Each event creator must publish their refund policy visibly on the event page. This can be placed below the main event description or in a prominently displayed location so that potential ticket buyers can make informed decisions.
5. Enforcement of Policies Event creators who fail to adhere to Bloc Social’s refund policy, or who misrepresent or fail to honor their stated refund policy, will have their accounts flagged and/or delisted from Bloc Social.
6. Buyer Responsibility Ticket buyers bear full responsibility for their purchase decisions. By confirming a ticket purchase, buyers acknowledge that they have reviewed and agree to abide by the refund policies set forth by both the event creator and Bloc Social.
7. Refund Requests In the event a ticket holder wishes to request a refund, they must reach out directly to the event creator using the contact information (email) provided on the event page.
8. Cancelation or Postponement If an event is canceled or postponed, refunds are issued at the discretion of the event creator, subject to any stated or agreed-upon policy at the time of purchase. Buyers should refer to the event creator’s posted refund policy for guidance on cancellations or postponements.
9. KYC and Payment Details All event creators must complete the necessary Stripe Know Your Customer (KYC) process and provide valid payment details to receive fiat payments for ticket sales. Failure to complete Stripe KYC or provide payment details accurately may result in a hold on any payouts and potential listing restrictions.
